Lecture
Sarah Diehl
Die Uhr, die nicht tickt
Wednesday, December 2, 2015, 7:30 p.m.
If it comes to having children, many stick to the idea of an innate maternal instinct and the nuclear family being the only thing that provides a fulfilled life. Politics and society are based on demographic and biologistic bugbears to hold on to old family concepts and gender hierarchies. Not wanting a child is considered unnatural, selfish or timid. Sarah Diehl’s book is a plea for an unbiased and contemporary adjustment to female identity and for new concepts of solidary coexistence.
At November 29, Sarah Diehl is also invited by Frauenbündnis Zürich to present her film VESSEL. The screening is followed by a discussion at Volkshaus. Further information here.
