In his autobiographical text Emmanuel Mbolela describes the experiences and history of his long journey from Congo to Europe and impressively reports the violence and exploitation he was exposed to during his escape. As a political activist, he connects his own story with the current migration and border policies and also addresses the exploitative working conditions migrant workers often face in European countries.

The author is speakter an antirassist activist of the Afrique Europe Interact network.

The book launch will also take place in Basel and Bern.
