The panel discussion on the evening before the opening of the research exhibition “Switzerland is Not an Island#2—Controversy Out Loud” will be devoted to questions of how the political figure Richard Wagner is being debated during the “Wagner Year” celebration in Switzerland and how it is possible to thematize Wagner’s anti-Semitism in such a year, as well as a questioning of Switzerland’s ambivalent role with regard to “political exiles.”
